Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan reached the United States on Saturday on a "special aircraft" of Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammad bin Salman, as per a Pakistani news channel. Quoting sources, the news channel said that Khan was barred from using a commercial flight by the Saudi Crown Prince. As per the Pakistani news channel, Saudi Crown Prince had said: "You are our special guest. You would be going to the US on my special aircraft."

Pakistan's focus is Kashmir

Attempting yet again to internationalise the Kashmir issue, Pakistan's foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the focus of Pakistan will be to highlight the situation in Kashmir. Addressing media on September 22, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said, "Prime Minister Imran Khan has reached the US. The seven-day visit is aimed at drawing the attention of the world towards what is happening in Kashmir."

Before arriving in the US, Khan was on a two-day visit to Saudi Arabia to muster support from the Islamic nation on the Kashmir issue. In Saudi Arabia, Khan met King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and discussed Kashmir apart from trade, investment, and economic relations. Khan on Saturday left for New York from Saudi Arabia to participate in the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly on a Saudi aircraft. Notably Khan and Prime Minister Modi will address the UN on the same day.

India's focus is to speak against terror

India's Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) Syed Akbaruddin said that India' will be at the forefront to speak against terror. He also said that India's big focus will be climate change. Akbaruddin added that the aim of the country is to engage with the world. Speaking to news agency ANI on Saturday, Akbaruddin said that PM Modi's address at the UNGA will enhance India's position at the global platform.

PM Modi-Trump to meet for the fourth time this year

With PM Modi meeting American President, Donald Trump on Tuesday, the two leaders would be meeting for the fourth time this year. The meeting in New York is expected to set the tone of the bilateral relationship between the two countries over the next few years. The two leaders are likely to discuss a range of bilateral, regional and global issues, including efforts to address the growing bilateral trade disputes, potential defence and energy deals and peace process in Afghanistan. Trump will also join PM Modi in his address at the Howdy Modi event in Houston.
