Speaking after commissioning INS Khanderi submarine at dockyard of Mazgaon Dock Shipbuilders Limited in Mumbai, he said re are some powers who want to do a Mumbai-like attack on Indian coastal regions, but "ir desires will t be allowed to be fulfilled".

"Pakistan needs to understand that Indian Navy has become much stronger with commissioning of Khanderi, and government is committed to strengn armed forces," Singh said, ding that navy will take strict action against those who disturb peace in region.

Attacking Khan, a day after his speech at UN General Assembly, Minister said, " Pakistan Prime Minister is going from door-to-door around world and creating content for cartoonists."
On submarine's commissioning, he said, "It is a matter of immense pride that India is one of few countries which can build its own submarines."

INS Khanderi inducted into Indian Navy
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh commissioned India's second Scorpene-class submarine INS Khanderi into service in Mumbai on Saturday. submarine possesses superior stealth and or major combat capabilities. Defence Minister will also launch INS Nilgiri, first ship of P-17A frigates, along with an aircraft carrier drydock will be inaugurated on Saturday.
Vice miral G Ashok Kumar, vice chief of Navy h asserted that with commissioning of 'Khanderi' and launch of 'Nilgiri', combat potential of Indian Navy will "go up many folds". He h ded that aircraft carrier drydock, housed within Naval Dockyard in Mumbai, is capable of docking India's largest ship INS Vikramitya and has ability to maintain ships for deces to come.

Earlier on Friday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that government is strictly committed to coastal and maritime security as an attack by terrorists cant be ruled out.
"We cant rule out that our neighbouring country's terrorists can carry out a big incident on our coastline which extends from Kutch to Kerala. As a Defence Minister, I would like to assure that our country's maritime security is absolutely strong and solidified. We are completely committed to coastal and maritime security," he said.
