Patna Shocker: Elderly Couple Found Dead at Home, Police Suspect They Killed Each Other

Patna: A shocking case of double murder has been reported in Bihar 's capital city Patna where an elderly couple was found dead in different rooms on Tuesday. While an investigation is still underway, the city police suspects that the couple killed each other following a fight.

Patna Shocker: Double Murder Reported in Nehru Nagar

A couple who lived in Patna's Nehru Nagar under the Pataliputra Police Station area, was found dead on Tuesday; the bodies of the husband and wife were found in different rooms and prima facie, there is no third person involved. According to the Patna Police, the couple killed each other after a fight.

Woman’s Body Found in Kitchen, Husband's in Bedroom

Patna SSP Rajiv Mishra said, “Woman’s body was found in the kitchen, and the husband’s body was found in the adjacent room. Blood stained footprints were only found from the kitchen to the bedroom where the husband's body was located, suggesting if someone else was involved, there would have been more footprints elsewhere. We are investigating all aspects and gathering the technical evidences.”

He further said, “The only thing that is missing is the cellphone of the woman. The police are trying to trace her mobile.”

'CCTV Being Checked, All Angles Investigated'

On the Patna Double Murder, Central SP Sweety Sahrawat was said, "We received information that the dead bodies of a couple have been found. We inspected the spot and interrogated the neighbourhood. The tenants said that some arguments were going on between them... It does not look like a robbery... The CCTV is being checked and the FSL is collecting samples... All possible angles will be examined..."
