Pimpri Chinchwad: A three-year-old girl was crushed to death after an iron gate fell on her in Pune's Pimpri Chinchwad.

The horrific incident was caught on the CCTV camera.

3-Year-Old Girl Crushed to Death in Pimpri Chinchwad

Girija Ganesh Shinde, a three-year-old girl died after a heavy iron gate fell on her in Bopkhel area of Pune's Pimpri Chinchwad.

The devastating incident happened when she was playing with her friends. 

Another child was trying to pull the gate weighing hundreds of kilos when it fell on Girija, who was standing in front of it.

Girija suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead before receiving the medical treatment.

The area's CCTV camera caught the entire incident and the distressing moment when the heavy gate fell on the little girl.

The video captures a girl trying to pull the gate that weighed hundreds of kilos, when it suddenly fell.

Girija and another girl was standing in front of it; while the other girl escaped, Girija was crushed by the weight of the iron gate.

Case of Accidental Death Registered

A case of accidental death has been registered and the Police is investigating the case from all angles and is also exploring the possibility of potential negligence; the parents of the deceased are yet to file a complaint.
