Pistol Brandished by IAS Officer Puja Khedkar's Mother Manorama Seized by Cops From Her Home
Recently, her mother, Manorama Khedkar, was arrested under Arms Act for allegedly threatening farmers with a gun.

New Delhi: Trouble continues to mount for IAS officer Puja Khedkar and her family as Pune Police conducted searches at her residence and recovered the pistol her mother used to threaten the farmers. Three bullets were also recovered during the raids which were carried out on Friday. A high-end car was also seized by the cops.
Trainee IAS officer Puja Khedkar is at the centre of a controversy over alleged misconduct, including using her private Audi car with a red and blue beacon along with a VIP number plate. Recently, her mother, Manorama Khedkar, was arrested under Arms Act for allegedly threatening farmers with a gun. The incident was captured on camera. The video, which was said to be of last year, went viral soon after Puja got embroiled in a controversy, prompting police to initiate an action.

Manorama to appear before court today
After being arrested, Manorama was produced before a court which remanded her to judicial custody that ends today. She is expected to appear before a court again today. Earlier the Pune Police had issued a notice to Manorama saying the gun she used to threaten the farmers was illegal.
Moreover, the Pune Municipal Corporation also sealed a company being run by Manorama.

Meanwhile, an investigation into all the allegations levelled against Puja is underway. The Central government formed a one-member panel to investigate allegations against her candidature in the UPSC exam.
The probationary officer is accused of availing undue benefits under the disability and Other Backward Class quotas while taking the UPSC exam. After she came to limelight over alleged misuse of power, she was transferred from Pune to Washim.

Puja Khedkar's training in Maharashtra has also been put on hold and she has been asked to report to Lal Bahadur Shashtri Institute of National Academy of Administration by July 23.
