Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his dress to nation on Friday asked citizens for 9 minutes for ir time on Sunday, April 5 and requested m to light a candle, diya, torch or mobile flashlight to mark India's fight against Coronavirus.

He said, "I request all of you to switch off all lights of your house on 5th April at 9 PM for 9 minutes, and just light a candle, 'Diya', or mobile's flashlight, to mark our fight against Coronavirus." PM urged people t to igre social distancing while lighting 'diya' or lamp or mobile's light on April 5.

In his dress PM Modi said, "Today when crores of people are inside homes, n some of us may think how will y fight this battle against COVID-19 alone. Such questions might come up in your mind? But please remember, ne of us is alone. strength of 130 crores of Indians is with each one of us."

According to data released by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Thursday, re are 2069 confirmed vel Coronavirus cases in country. Out of this,156 people have recovered while 53 ors have passed away. Currently, re are 1860 active COVID-19 cases.
