Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who inaugurated the integrated Check Post of the Kartarpur corridor on November 9 attended langar at Dera Baba Nanak Gurudwara in Gurdaspur. Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh along with Union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal gave the Prime Minister company. Taking to his Twitter, PM Modi said, "Many anchoring practices started by Guru Nanak Dev ji are going on worldwide today. I bow my head to Guru Nanak, who asks for the best of all."
While addressing a public gathering at Dera Baba Nanak, PM Modi thanked all who have been associated with the project. He also thanked Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan for understanding Indian sentiments and cooperating with Modi-government in this project. The 4.2-km long Kartarpur corridor is a border corridor between India and Pakistan that will connect the Sikh shrines of Dera Baba Nanak Sahib and Gurdwara Darbar Sahib.

PM Modi On Ayodhya Verdict:
Commenting on the Supreme Court’s judgment in the Ayodhya land dispute case on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stressed that it was imperative for everyone to strengthen the spirit of ‘Rashtra Bhakti’. Observing that the verdict should not be equated in terms of victory and loss, he stressed on maintaining peace and harmony. The PM also highlighted the significance of the judgment by citing that due process was followed in giving ample time and opportunity to all the parties in putting forth their arguments. At the same time, he expressed his pride in the mature conduct of all Indians in the run-up to the verdict. Furthermore, PM Modi hoped that this unity would further the development of India.
