Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday held a telephonic conversation with Charles Michel, President of European Council and two leaders discussed situation created by Coronavirus and responses to challenge. He also recognised importance of regional and global coordination to effectively address health and ecomic impact of pandemic.

15th annual India-EU Summit, planned for March in Brussels, was postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Prime Minister said in a tweet later that he had an 'excellent discussion' with President of European Council and India-EU partnership has tremendous potential in many areas, including scientific research and invation.
