In his much-anticipated address to nation on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stressed on need for citizens to promote local businesses as y have suffered a lot due to Coronavirus forced lockdown. While PM Modi anunced a financial pack of Rs 20 lakh crores to support businesses, he urged citizens across country to support local products and businesses by campaigning for m. He appealed citizens to be 'vocal for local' in an attempt to boost Indian businesses.
Addressing nation, PM Modi said, "Street vendors, domestic workers, labourers have faced a lot of troubles. y have sacrificed a lot. It is our duty to take steps to secure ir financial interests. Locals have fulfilled demand arising out of Coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdown. y have saved us from crisis. Time has taught us this."

Prime Minister highlighted that brands that are global today, were once just local. "From today, all citizen needs to be vocal for local. t just buy local products but also campaign for m," Prime Minister appealed to citizens across country.
PM Modi anunces second financial pack
Addressing nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also anunced a financial pack worth Rs.20 lakh crore which is equivalent to 10% of India's Gross Domestic Product to boost self-reliance. details of pack shall be anunced by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday, May 13. PM mentioned that this would benefit workers, hawkers, street vendors, farmers, business class, etc.

"I anunce a special ecomic pack today. This will play an important role in 'Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan'. anuncements made by govt over COVID, decisions of RBI & today's pack totals to Rs 20 Lakh Crores. This is 10% of India's GDP", PM Narendra Modi said.
