Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday shared his condolences over death of veteran film and atre actor Shreeram Lagoo. PM took to Twitter to express his anguish over loss. Shreeram Lagoo bread his last at a private hospital in Pune on Tuesday. He was 92 years old.

Tributes from t just entertainment industry, but also from political fraternity started pouring in after news of his demise. Information and Brocasting Minister Prakash Javdekar, Rishi Kapoor, Suniel Shetty, Ranvir Shorey, Renuka Shahane, Mhur Bhandarkar, Ashoke Pandit, were among those who paid ir respects and conveyed ir condolences to his family.

Shreeram Lagoo acted in over 100 films in Hindi, Marathi. He was also kwn for his work in plays in Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati plays. t just acting in 40 plays, he also directed 20 of m. He was houred with Sangeet Natak Akemi Award 2009 by n President Pratibha Patil.

Lagoo h started his career as a doctor before venturing into atre in late ‘60s. He shot to fame with play Natasamrat, and n went on to act in movies like Sinhasan, Pinjra and Mukta. From re, he went to work in many Hindi films.
