Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday distributed land allotment papers to over one lakh landless indigeus people in poll bound Assam. "re are lakhs who did t have any documentation of ir land. But w, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sowal ji and his government have worked to ensure that people get ir recognition," PM Modi said.

Prime Minister Modi also ded, "Distribution of land pattas/allotment certificates at large public meeting in Sivasagar was a historic occasion. This will ensure a life of dignity for many and protect Assam’s unique culture."

PM Modi also appreciated state government for ir handling coronavirus pandemic in state, he said, " way Assam government handled COVID-19 is praise worthy. I am confident that Assam will take forward vaccination drive w. I appeal all to get vaccinated."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also visit Kolkata on Saturday to commemorate 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose by attending 'Parakram Diwas' celebrations at Victoria Memorial. A cultural programme "Amra Nuton Jouboneri Doot", based on me of Netaji, is also going to be held. Before this, PM Modi will visit National Library where an International Conference “Re-visiting legacy of Netaji Subhas in 21st century” will be organized.
