PM Modi hosts lavish lunch for Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina in Delhi

A day after PM Modi and Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina exchanged bilateral talks, lunch will be hosted by PM Modi for the Bangladesh PM at the Hyderabad House

A day after PM Modi and Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina exchanged bilateral talks and inaugurated three projects, lunch has been organised by PM Modi for the Bangladesh PM at the Hyderabad House in New Delhi on Sunday. As per news agency reports, a vegetarian lunch spread has been prepared for Bangladesh PM Hasina. Keeping in mind Sheikh Hasina's choice of food, a specific lunch menu has been prepared for the Bangladesh PM on the occasion of Durga Puja.

The lunch menu includes - dahi bhalla papri, badshahi pulao, bharwan kumbh rogani, shahi dungri dal and chenna malpua. The two leaders are expected to finish the meal with a cup of filter coffee or qahwa.

The Prime Minister's office has taken specific care for the choice of music as well with the lunch. As per a statement released by PMO, the list of songs includes old classics such as Raghupati Raghav, Ekla Chalo Re and Ram Ratan Dhan Payo to classic and soft Bollywood songs such as -- Woh Shaam Kuch Ajeeb Thi, Tumko Dekha Toh Yeh Khayal Aaya and Honthon Se Chhulo.

PM Modi and Bangladesh PM hold bilateral talks

During her four-day visit to India, Bangladesh PM Hasina held bilateral talks with PM Modi on Saturday. The two leaders also jointly inaugurated projects to strengthen coastal security along with boosting ties in areas of defence, trade and connectivity. Taking to Twitter, MEA Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar shared pictures of PM Modi welcoming Bangladesh PM Hasina on her visit to India. He stated that the two world leaders have met for the second time in 10 days in order to exemplify the strengths of India-Bangladesh ties. The two leaders jointly inaugurated three projects and signed six-seven agreements in areas like transport, connectivity, capacity building and culture following the talks.
