PM Modi lauds efforts of Indian Armed Forces during natural disasters

PM Modi praised the swift actions of the armed forces during natural disasters which save many lives and prevents the public property from being destroyed

On auspicious day of Diwali, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, keeping up with his trition of celebrating Diwali with Jawans, visited forward areas of Rajouri along LoC to celebrate festival of lights with security forces. PM Modi shared several pictures of celebrations on Twitter, where he can be seen wearing an Army uniform and exchanging sweets with  soldiers. In one of his tweets, PM Modi praised swift actions of armed forces during natural disasters which save many lives and prevents public property from being destroyed. Here is tweet by PM Modi:

Indian Army's relentless efforts in saving lives

Indian Army has always come to rescue of citizens during natural disasters. In August, emergency response teams of Indian Army and Navy relentlessly spearheed rescue and relief operations in Maharashtra and sourn States helping thousands stranded due to severe flood situation, following heavy rain that week.

While interacting with our soldiers, PM Modi thanked m on behalf of people of India for ir monumental service. "ir vigilance and valour keep our nation safe! I also spoke about major steps our Government is taking for welfare of soldiers," PM Modi wrote in ar tweet.

'India Wali Diwali'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also launched a campaign 'India Wali Diwali' and urged people to celebrate festival by lighting homes of those who need it. PM tweeted a video featuring Bollywood Actor Rajkummar Rao. "Let us make this Diwali about lighting lamp of happiness in lives of ors. Let us make this #IndiaWaliDiwali," he captioned video.
