Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in West Bengal capital on Saturday and Sunday to participate in sesquicentenary celebrations of Kolkata Port Trust and dedication of herit buildings to nation.
On Saturday, prime minister will dedicate to nation four refurbished herit buildings in Kolkata to nation, a statement from Prime Minister's Office said.

To begin with, Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedab and Varanasi are being taken up under project.
Modi will also participate in sesquicentenary celebrations of Kolkata Port Trust on Saturday and Sunday.

He will be handing over a cheque of Rs 501 crore towards final instalment to meet deficit of pension fund of retired and existing employees of Kolkata Port Trust, statement said.
prime minister will also be felicitating two oldest pensioners of Kolkata Port Trust -- Nagina Bhagat, 105, and Naresh Chandra Chakraborty, 100.

He will also launch Port anm during event.
Besides, he will unveil a plaque of 150 years of commemorative installation at site of original Port jetties.

prime minister will also inaugurate upgred ship repair faciility of Cochin Kolkata Ship Repair Unit at Netaji Subhas Dry Dock.
He will inaugurate full rake handling facility while dedicating upgred railway infrastructure of Kolkata Dock System of KoPT for smooth cargo movement and improving turnaround time.
Mechanisation of berth number 3 at Haldia Dock Complex of KoPT and a proposed riverfront development scheme will also be launched by Modi.
In ar event, prime minister will inaugurate Kaushal Vikas Kendra and Pritilata Chhatri Avas for 200 tribal girl students of Sunderbans.
It is a project undertaken by KoPT with Purvanchal Kalyan Ashram, Gosaba, Sunderbans affiliated to Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, statement said.
