Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter on Wednesday morning and paid tribute to both Far of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi and former PM Lal Bahur Shastri on ir birth anniversaries with video messs. In his tribute video to Gandhi, PM praised contributions of both leers and highlighted ir commitment towards nation. He spoke about seven distortions penned down by Mahatma Gandhi. His video tribute to Lal Bahur Shastri stated relevance of slogan 'Jay Jawan, Jay Kisan'.

PM Modi explained contributions of Mahatma Gandhi towards building a nation in his video mess. He said, “ whole world is celebrating 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. His mess of truth and n-violence is still relevant in context of peace, progress, and development in world. Mahatma Gandhi never tried to create a forceful impact through his life, but his life became reason of inspiration to all.

His commitment to his principles me him deunce seven perversions in life. se seven distortions cited by Mahatma Gandhi are still relevant. sevens things include wealth without work, pleasure without conscience, kwledge without character, business without ethics, science without humanity, religion without sacrifice and politics without principles. Wher its climate change or terrorism, corruption or social life compelled by interest, Gandhi Ji’s principles help us in saving humanity. I am sure that this path shown by Gandhi Ji’s will help in development of a better world.”

PM Modi wishes Lal Bahur Shastri
PM Modi also posted a video mess for former PM of India, Lal Bahur Shastri, wherein he explained his immense contribution in just a term of a year and a half. He said, “Today is October 2, on this day we celebrate birth anniversary of Lal Bahur Shastri Ji. His selfless austerity towards state resulted in development of farmers and soldiers in his short term of a year and a half. He used to save old and torn pieces of khi clothing because that was me with someone’s hard work. He used to say that se clos are me with hard work and labour of many people, thus each strand of this piece of clothing should be saved. He inevitably looked very humble from outside, but he was a strong believer and decision-maker from within. slogan 'Jay Jawan, Jay Kishan' reflects this part of his identity.”
