PM Narendra Modi consoled an emotional ISRO Chairman K Sivan after his speech at ISRO Monitoring Centre in Bengaluru following loss of communication with Vikram Lander of Chandrayaan 2 mission. While departing from Centre, K Sivan shook hands with PM Modi and exchanged words. At this point, he got emotional as PM Modi pulled him for a hug. Tears rolled down from Sivan's face as PM Modi held him in a tight embrace.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed nation at 8 AM on Saturday, in backdrop of Chandrayaan-2's lander 'Vikram' losing contact with ground stations. Earlier in day, contact from lander to ground stations was lost during its powered descent to Lunar surface minutes before planned touch-down. Talking about same, Modi in his speech to ISRO scientists on Saturday morning said, ' best is yet to come in our programme; India is with you.
