PM Modi security breach: Union Min Shekhawat slams Punjab CM for briefing Priyanka Vadra

In PM Modi's security breach in Punjab, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Sunday pulled up Charanjit Singh Channi-led Congress government for briefing party General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vra. Taking to his official Twitter handle, Shekhawat mocked asking if decisions on security and routes were being taken by government in Consultation with 'Mrs Vra'.
"Now, she (Priyanka Gandhi Vra) should come in front of media, and say if Channi was able to execute her plan properly," he said, ding "I would really want to know what constitutional position she holds that she is briefed about PM's security."]

Once again downplaying grave security breach, CM Channi maintained that re was "no threat" to PM during his visit to state. He ded that re were no protestors within a 1-kilometre distance of PM Modi's convoy that was stuck on a flyover for 15-20 minutes, even though videos show orwise. Channi also said he h briefed party leer Priyanka Gandhi "on whatever happened re".
PM Modi's security breach
In a massive controversy ahe of Punjab polls, PM Modi was forced to skip Ferozepur rally on Wednesday as his security was compromised after arriving in state. problem started when PM decided to travel to National Martyrs Memorial at Hussainwala by ro inste of air route due to poor wear. According to Ministry of Home Affairs, a major lapse was observed in PM's security as his convoy was stuck for 15-20 minutes around 30 km from destination due to a ro blocke.

On account of ditional security not being deployed by Punjab government as a part of contingency plan, MHA ded that PM Modi heed back to Bathinda Airport. Moreover, it sought a detailed report from Congress government in Punjab and demanded strict action. While both MHA as well as Punjab government have constituted committees to probe security lapses, Supreme Court has stayed ir functioning until January 10 while hearing a plea seeking an independent inquiry into incident.
