PM Modi to Inaugurate Semicon Event in Greater Noida Today | Check Traffic Advisory, Key Diversions

Noida: In view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi 's visit to Greater Noida on Wednesday for the inauguration of Semicon India 2024, the Noida Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory. Semicon India 2024 is a three-day event dedicated to the semiconductor ecosystem. Adequate traffic arrangements have been made and several roads diversions will come up in view of the VVIP visit. Meanwhile, security has been beefed in the area for smooth conduct of the event.
Anticipating disruptions in road traffic, several routes will be diverted and alternative pathways have been suggested to facilitate smooth flow of traffic.
According to a release from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), PM Modi was expected to reach Greater Noida's India Expo Mart at around 10.30am on Wednesday.
Noida traffic police tweeted, “The Gautam Buddh Nagar Traffic Police has issued an important traffic advisory for September 11, 2024, in view of a high-profile visit to Greater Noida. Due to anticipated traffic disruptions, several routes will be diverted, and alternative routes have been suggested to facilitate smooth travel during the event.”
Restrictions on Noida-Greater Noida Expessway Today
The Noida police has also imposed restrictions on commuters plying on the Noida-Greater Noida Expessway in view of the event. As per the advisory, heavy, medium, and light goods vehicles will be prohibited on the Expressway and around the venue from 7 am to 11pm. While, vehicles carrying essential commodities like milk, vegetables, fruits, and medicines will be allowed to enter Noida and Greater Noida under no-entry directions. The traffic police have recommended an alternate pathways for the commuters entering the city from various exit points from Delhi.
Alternative Routes for Noida-Bound Vehicles Coming from Delhi
- Inbound vehicles entering via Chilla Red Light (Border) and going elsewhere can take a U-turn from Chilla Red Light and go towards their destination via National Highway-09/24 via NH-91 and Eastern Peripheral Expressway, the advisory stated.
- Commuters from DND (Border) and going elsewhere will be able to take a U-turn from DND Toll Plaza and move towards their destination via NH-09/24 via NH-91 and Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
- Vehicles entering from Delhi state through Kalindi Kunj Yamuna (Border) and going elsewhere will be able to go towards their destination via NH-09/24, Eastern Peripheral Expressway and NH-91.
Roads to take to while Travelling from Noida to Greater Noida:
- From Chilla Red Light: Traffic diverted at Sector 14A flyover towards Sector 15 roundabout.
- From DND Flyway: Diverted at Rajnigandha Chowk (Sector 16)
- From Kalindi Kunj Border: Diverted at Sector 37.
Other Key Diversions
- From GIP Mall via Film City flyover, U-turn to be taken under the flyover.
- For Noida Sector 37 to Greater Noida, vehicles to be rerouted onto the double service road at the Sector 44 roundabout.
- Movement from Agra towards Noida to be redirected after the Jewar Toll towards the Sobata underpass.
- Surajpur route to be taken from Pari Chowk to reach Greater Noida West.
- Diversion at Sector 130 (from Surajpur).
- From P-3 roundabout, vehicles to be rerouted towards Swarn Nagri to reach Greater Noida West.
- From Hindon Cut, vehicles to be redirected at Sector 151 onto the double service road.
- Rerouting via DSC towards Ashok Nagar (for Rajnigandhi Chowk to DND Flyway)
- Traffic from the Sector 15 roundabout to move towards Ashoka Nagar.
