As part of the 'Seva Pakhwara' celebrations, the BJP will host various events across the country, including blood donation camps and cleanliness drives.

New Delhi: On the first 100 days of the third term of PM Modi government that coincides with PM's birthday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw launched a booklet. The saffron party and various ministries have outlined an elaborate plan to mark 100 days of PM Modi's third consecutive term. The booklet serves as a report card of the government.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 74 on Tuesday, September 17, marking another year in his long political career. Known for treating his birthday like any regular working day, the occasion is celebrated by the Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP ) through a fortnight-long event known as 'Seva Pakhwara' or 'Seva Parv,' which highlights his dedication to public service.

BJP Launches ‘Seva Pakhwara’ on PM's Birthday 

Party President JP Nadda has inaugurated blood donation camp under ‘Seva Pakhwara’ initiative in New Delhi and also opened an exhibition highlighting Prime Minister Modi's life and contributions. Earlier today, the BJP 's official handle on X, formerly known as Twitter, announced the start of the 'Seva Pakhwara' event. As part of the 'Seva Pakhwara' celebrations, the BJP will host various events across the country, starting from today to October 2nd, including blood donation camps and cleanliness drives under the Swachh Bharat initiative. Party members and volunteers will participate in cleaning activities at hospitals, schools, and other public spaces.

Party workers across country are holding cleanliness drives to mark celebrations of PM's birthday. Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma also participated in cleanliness drive as a part of ‘Seva Pakhwada’. 

Born on September 17, 1950, in the small town of Mehsana, Gujarat , Narendra Damodardas Modi served as the Chief Minister of Gujarat for three terms, from 2001 to 2014, before becoming the Prime Minister for a third consecutive term.

PM Modi Visits Odisha on his Birthday 

Despite the celebrations, Prime Minister Modi visited Odisha on Tuesday, where he interacted with beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Urban and launched several new projects in Bhubaneswar.

Prime Minister Modi also launched the Odisha government's flagship women-centric initiative, the Subhadra Yojana, during his visit to the state on his 74th birthday. In addition to this, he also unveiled key railway and national highway projects.

This visit to Odisha is Modi's first since he attended the swearing-in ceremony of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on June 12.

The Subhadra Yojana, named after Goddess Subhadra, sister of Lord Balabhadra and Lord Jagannath, aims to support women between the ages of 21 and 60. Under the scheme, eligible women will receive Rs 50,000 over five years, with Rs 10,000 credited annually in two installments directly to their bank accounts. The initiative is expected to benefit over 1 crore women across the state.
