PM Modi's engagements in Maharashtra: Mumbai, Aurangabad, and Nagpur
PM Modi has scheduled a trip to Maharashtra on September 7; he has planned to visit Mumbai, Aurangabad, and Nagpur, and will inaugurate several projects

PM Modi has scheduled a Maharashtra tour on September 7, and has planned to visit various cities across the state. The first stop on his itinerary is the financial capital, Mumbai, and from there the Prime Minister will proceed further north in the state, towards Aurangabad and Nagpur.
PM lands in Mumbai
State Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis received PM Modi at the Chatrapati Shivaji international airport in Mumbai. They immediately proceeded to the suburb of Vile Parle in the city, where PM Modi offered prayers to Lord Ganesh at the Lokmanya Seva Sangh (LSS) as part of the ongoing Ganesh festival. Apart from Koshyari and Fadnavis, state BJP unit president Chandrakant Patil was also present when Modi offered prayers.
PM Modi garlanded the sculpture of Lokmanya. The LSS presented the PM with a portrait of freedom fighter Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak and books on the activities of the LSS.
Schedule in Mumbai
The Prime Minister is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for three metro lines in the city. PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for a Metro Bhavan, designed to operate and control 14 metro lines measuring around 340 km.
Thereafter, PM Modi will inaugurate the Bandongri Metro Station in Kandivali East. He will also inaugurate a metro coach, the first to be made under Make in India project. The PM will then release a Brand Vision Document for Maha Mumbai Metro.
Aurangabad
In Aurangabad, the PM will address a state-level Mahila Saksham Melava or Empowered Women’s Meet of Self Help Groups, being organized by Maharashtra State Rural Livelihood Mission (UMED).
Nagpur
At Nagpur, PM Modi will inaugurate the Aqua Line of Nagpur Metro, at Subhash Nagar Metro Station. The metro line would provide much relief to several college students and workforce. The PM will then proceed to Mankapur stadium, where he will inaugurate various projects. He will also inaugurate the Out Patient Department of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Nagpur.
Thereafter, PM Modi is scheduled to launch the Pradhan Mantri Vyapari Maan-Dhan Yojana, which is a national level Pension Scheme for Traders and Shopkeepers.
PM Modi will then lay the foundation stone for four-laning of Nagpur-Umred section of NH-353D and for Saoner – Dhapewada – Kalmeshwar - Gondkhairi section of NH-547E.
The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for ICMR-NIV Satellite Centre of One Health, Nagpur. The Centre will primarily work towards finding antitodes for emerging and existing zoonotic diseases and will also work on the identification of unknown zoonotic agents, capacity building and human resource development.
