PMC Bank Scam: Fadnavis assures personal follow-up, to seek PM's help

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fnavis spoke about PMC bank scam at launch of party's manifesto in Mumbai ahe of assembly elections in state. He termed crisis as a very important issue and said government does t want to run away from responsibilities. He said EOW (Ecomic Offences Wing) is working on it and authorities are attaching properties of accused. CM stated after election, this issue will be taken to Finance Minister and Prime Minister. Fnavis also said Prime Minister will be requested to help in refund of depositors money and he will personally follow up on issue.
Man suffers cardiac arrest
After hearing news about PMC scam, 51-year-old Sanjay Gulati, reportedly a customer suffered a cardiac arrest and unfortunately, he passed away on Monday, October 14, as per reports. It was reported that Sanjay Gulati suffered a cardiac arrest after he lost his life savings to scam. tably, earlier Sanjay h lost his job at Jet Airways. Sanjay attended a protest morcha against PMC bank on Monday. After coming home he suffered massive heart failure due to stress while eating, as per reports. Sanjay was under a lot of stress as he h first lost his job with Jet Airways and n his life savings were reportedly stuck in PMC Bank.

Withdrawal up to 40,000
Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Monday, increased withdrawal limit for bank customers to Rs 40,000 which is inclusive of Rs 25,000 allowed earlier. In an official statement issued, RBI said after reviewing bank's liquidity position, it h decided to enhance withdrawal limit. Amidst protests earlier, on October 3, RBI h allowed depositors to withdraw up to Rs 25,000.
