On the auspicious festival of Eid-ul-Fitr, wishes have poured in from politicians, personalities and celebrities from across the country.
The festival is celebrated to mark the end of the holy month of Ramzan. President of India Ram Nath Kovind extended his wishes and wrote:

"All nations, especially the country and Muslim brothers and sisters, sincerely congratulate Eid. The festival of Eid al-Fitr ripening our trust in charity and brotherhood. I hope it will be a happy opportunity to fill our lives with joy and happiness."

The Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations were vibrant across the country. In Hyderabad, scores of kurta clad men and children made their way to Mecca Masjid. In Delhi, at the Jama Masjid, thousands came out to share the festival's joy. Engaging in charity and sharing special delicacies like Seviyan (Vermicelli) are some of the activities undertaken during Ramzan. The festival also marks the end of the month-long fasting observed by Muslims across the world.
