AAP wants Centre to declare Covid 'community transfer' in Delhi after '5.5 lakh' forecast

As Coronavirus cases are surging in National Capital, Aam Ami Party on Thursday questioned Central government and sought its reply for t declaring Coronavirus 'community transmission' in Delhi. AAP MP Sanjay Singh demanded an explanation as to why Centre is t accepting community spre.
Singh furr said that Delhi Health Minister informed about growing number of COVID-19 cases in Delhi and source for spre can't be tracked hence it can be declared as a community spre. However Centre government is t rey to believe, he ded.

Speaking to ANI, Singh said, "Why is Central government t accepting this (community spre of COVID-19)? Union government should answer this. government should decide why Centre is t accepting community spre. Look at number of COVID -19 cases.

Delhi Health Minister has given his statement on basis of how fast COVID-19 cases are growing and when you can't find source from where it spres, how it spres, n it will be considered community spre. But what is basis of thinking of Central government? Why are y t believing? That only Central government can tell us," he ded.

On Tuesday, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain h informed that All India Institute Of Medical Sciences, New Delhi (AIIMS) Director Dr. Randeep Guleria has accepted that re is community transmission in Delhi however it is w up to Centre to make an official declaration about it. He also said Delhi h many cases and around half of cases that are reported people don't kw how y get infected.
"AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria has said that re is a community transmission in Delhi but Centre has t accepted it yet. We cant declare it and declaration is up to Centre. Community spre is a technical term and it depends on Centre wher y accept it or t. re are four sts in epidemiology in which third st is community spre," Jain said when asked about wher community transmission has started in Delhi.

"We say community spre when people don't kw how y get infection. re are many cases. Around half of cases are coming in which people don't kw how y get infected," Jain said earlier.

COVID-19 cases in Delhi
According to latest figures shared by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare national capital so far has recorded 32,810 coronavirus cases. 984 people have succumbed to disease whereas 12,245 COVID cases have been discharged and cured. Delhi has 19,581 active cases of Coronavirus so far. state government has forecast 5.5 lakh cases in capital by July 31.
