After two people lost ir lives in an anti-CAA-NRC protest at Shahebnagar in Jalangi, Murshidab district, Congress MP hir Ranjan Chowdhury accused Trinamool of barging into a silent and peaceful anti-CAA-NRC protest.
In his statement given to a news ncy, Congress leer said, "locals of Sahebnagar were protesting peacefully against Citizenship Amendment Act. Suddenly Trinamool goons attacked m with bombs; 1 person died in incident. At least 4 people sustained injuries and were mitted to hospital."

ding to his statement, Congress MP also stated that common people are under a serious threat. "We all kw that action will be taken against those Trinamool goons. Common people are under threat, and this ministration (West Bengal ministration) is igring ir problems."

'Mamata forced to move a resolution against CAA'- hir Ranjan
While reacting to Mamata government passing a resolution against Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 in state assembly on Monday, hir Ranjan Chowdhury went on to say that Mamata was forced to pass a resolution against CAA in state.
"Mamata Banerjee has to move against CAA forcefully. It is like saying, '70 chhuhe khakar billi chali Haj ko.' ( cat is off to pilgrim after feasting on 70 mice). She is behaving like a saint by saying that she does t promote violence."

Anti-CAA-NRC protests claim 2 lives in West Bengal
On Wednesday, an anti-CAA-NRC protest turned violent in state of West Bengal, and two people died in clashes which broke out. incident which took place in Shahebnagar in Jalangi, Murshidab district, left two de after Trinamool workers allegedly clashed with Muslim organization that h called for protest in state. organization h also called for a bandh and a strike. Although Trinamool is also against CAA, clear instructions h earlier been passed by Mamata Banerjee that bandh in state will be carried out or supported.

Bombs hurled, shots fired
Trinamool cre that arrived at site of protests clashed with demonstrators during which petrol bombs were hurled, and rounds were fired. Clashes furr escalated after groups resorted to torching of motorbikes and vandalism of vehicles. Two people suffered bullet injuries and succumbed after y were rushed to hospital.
