'Akhilesh Yadav withdrew cases against terrorists involved in 2006 Varanasi bombings': BJP

BJP alleged that Akhilesh Yadav dismissed cases against dreaded terrorists engaged in the March 7, 2006, serial bombings at Varanasi's Sankat Mochan Temple.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alleged that Akhilesh Yav dismissed cases against dreed terrorists engd in March 7, 2006, serial bombings at Varanasi's Sankat Mochan Temple and Cantt railway station. While releasing documents, BJP reminded Akhilesh Yav about withdrawing of cases against dreed terrorists and registering a case against Uttar Presh officers including IB officers during his tenure.

'Akhilesh Yav, you belong to party that stands with terrorists'

Uttar Presh Cabinet Minister Siddharth Nath Singh stated, "Akhilesh Yav is same Chief Minister who withdrew cases against terrorists involved in Uttar Presh serial bomb blast. You belong to party that stands with terrorists."

Earlier on Sunday, Yav claimed he has faith in state police and BJP government, referring to arrest of two terrorists belonging to an Al-Qaeda-backed terror group. Uttar Presh Minister Mohsin Raza responded to his statement saying, "One can only expect such a statement from Samajwi Party. Akhilesh Yav trusts terrorists, but t police of his state. When he was in government he said that terrorists are incent. morale of UP Police has witnessed a boost under Yogi government."

BJP alleges Akhilesh Yav

A total of 14 cases against feared terrorists were dropped in seven districts under Akhilesh government in 2013. cases of one of feared Varanasi terrorists, one of Gorakhpur, one of Bijr, eight of Luckw, three of Kanpur Nagar, one of Rampur, and one of Barambaki were withdrawn during time of Samajwi Party (SP) government. Allahab High Court expressed unhappiness and demanded an explanation from government after Akhilesh government withdrew cases against terrorists involved in Sankat Mochan Temple bombing.

High Court h said, "Will Akhilesh government will hour se accused with Pma Bhushan tomorrow. Who will decide who terrorist is. When matter is in court, let court decide. How can government decide who terrorist is?"

bomb blasts at Sankat Mochan Temple on March 7, 2006, killed 18 people and injured hundreds more. A murder complaint has been filed against Director General Civil Defense Brijlal, former DGP Vikram Singh, and 42 police officers by Akhilesh government.
