Amit Shah lauds 'Garib Kalyan Rojgar' scheme, says 'govt committed to rural development'

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said Modi government is fully committed to development of vills and Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan will play an important role in making India self-reliant.

Taking to Twitter, Shah said, " Modi government is fully committed to development of our vills, livelihood and self-respect of migrant workers and poor. Under leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji, Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan will play an important role in making country a self-reliant India."

Amit Shah said people will be provided employment near ir homes based on ir skills under scheme. 

"Earlier, people used to go to city in search of employment, but w through 'Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyan', y will be provided employment near ir homes based on ir skills. ir skills will be used in development of rural sector, which will give more strength to rural ecomy," he said.

In ar tweet, BJP leader said that Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyan will cover 116 districts across six states and to provide employment and inclusive development opportunities in rural India, 25 such works or schemes, which are being run by government, will be added under this campaign.

Garib Kalyan Rozgar Abhiyaan

Earlier in day, PM Modi launched  employment scheme for migrant workers who went jobless due to Coronavirus induced lockdown. Aiming to turn lockdown into an opportunity to boost development in rural areas, PM Modi said that during lockdown talent from cities returned to vills and it will w help rural ecomy.

Launching 'Garib Kalyan Rozgar Abhiyaan' via video conference in Bihar's Katihar in presence of chief ministers of five states - Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jharkhand and a minister of Odisha, PM Modi said re are some people who might t appreciate efforts of villrs in fight against coronavirus but he applauds m for ir efforts. scheme will work in a mission mode in 116 districts across se six states where maximum number of migrant workers have returned.
