Amit Shah likely to take party's active membership from Telangana
BJP President Amit Shah is expected to take active membership from Telangana, where the party has set its sights on capturing power in the 2023 Assembly elections, a senior leader said on Monday.

BJP President Amit Shah is expected to take active membership from Telangana, where party has set its sights on capturing power in 2023 Assembly elections, a senior leer said on Monday. "He (Shah) has promised and assured to take active membership from Telangana and Hyderab, that too from my residential dress," BJP Telangana unit president K Laxman told PTI.
Taking active membership is a symbolism which Shah is showcasing as he considers Telangana as priority state to come to power in next elections, according to BJP spokesperson Krishna Saagar Rao. Laxman said Shah is expected to take active membership on September 17 when he is proposed to visit city to attend celebration of 'Telangana Liberation Day' (which marks merger of erstwhile Hyderab state with Indian Union in 1948), being organised by state BJP.

He said party's state unit has requested Shah, who is also Union Home Minister, to attend 'Telangana Liberation Day' on September 17. Laxman alleged TRS government h betrayed Telangana people by t organising state celebration of day, though Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao h questioned K Rosaiah, n chief minister of undivided Andhra Presh, for t celebrating day.
