Andhra Pradesh assembly on July 22, Monday passed a bill which reserves 75 % jobs for Andhra domiciles in all private industrial units and factories, irrespective of wher se companies receive aid from government.

During poll campaign, Jagan had promised reservation for people of Andhra Pradesh in private jobs.

Informing about Bill, Jagan Mohan Reddy said that this is a first and foremost development in country:
Bill however states that those companies which are included in First schedule of Companies Act are liable to be exempted from Act. A decision on same will be taken on a case-by-case basis after eligible companies file an application for exemption.

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath too had said earlier that his government wants to ensure 70 per cent jobs to locals. He said: "All incentives that we give, can be availed by industries only when 70 per cent of employment is local, from Madhya Pradesh. re are many industries where people from ors states are employed, from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh… I am t criticising m but our youth from Madhya Pradesh are denied jobs. So industries which employ 70 per cent local youth will only be able to avail incentives,” Kamal Nath had said.
