Andhra Presh minister for Marketing and Fisheries Mopidevi Venkata Ramana Rao on Tuesday slammed TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu for criticizing state government's decision over land acquisition of Kakina mangrove forests for Housing for Poor scheme. According to Minister, while YSRCP government is attempting to give houses to poor, TDP is trying to politicise matter.
Minister pointed out that previously Congress and TDP governments h also h acquired lands for housing schemes at Kakina mangrove forests. He furr questioned that when Chandrababu Naidu h constructed houses through TIDCO, he was t concerned for mangrove forests, but he is opposing it w.

Govt to constitute aqua authorities
According to Fisheries Minister, Mopidevi Venkata Ramana Rao, government will be constituting an aqua under which all aqua, fisheries, and marine produce will be brought. He ded that although aqua and fisheries sectors are heavily affected due to lockdown, Andhra Presh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy was trying to get a good price for produce.
He furr reminded that exports of aqua and fisheries to or states have come down from 250 lorries to 50 lorries. In order to change situation, CM Reddy held talks with or chief ministers and is trying to get markets reopened.

Chandrababu Naidu opposes state govt's decision
TDP Supremo N Chandrababu Naidu earlier on Tuesday criticized and raised an objection over state government's decision to clear Ma forest in East Godavari district to provide housing for needy. According to him, clearing out Ma Forest would destroy livelihood of more than 54,000 fishermen and ir families living in region.

During a press statement, he said, "Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy's decision to wipe out Ma Forest will t just bring large scale devastation to Kakina in form of storm surges and land erosion, but will also destroy livelihoods of more than 54,000 fishermen and ir families living in region."
