Anti-CAA resolution to be moved in Puducherry Assembly on Feb 12: CM

Congress-ruled Puducherry would be fifth dispensation to opt course after West Bengal, Kerala, Punjab and Rajasthan assemblies passed resolutions against amended citizenship law.

Launching a 'massive' signature campaign against CAA, National Register of Citizens and National Population Register in union territory, Narayanasamy said,""We will never give room for CAA as it is ill-conceived and injurious." resolution condemning Centre's initiative and also protesting against CAA would be opted on floor of territorial Assembly when it meets on February 12, Narayanasamy said.
"Come what may we will protest tooth and nail CAA and will give room for introduction of Act in union territory," he said. signature campaign has been anunced by DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance which includes Congress. DMK president M K Stalin launched initiative in Tamil Nu.

Ors who participated in campaign here included DMK legislator and conver of DMK (south) wing R Siva, PCC leer and PWD Minister A Namassivayam, leers of CPI, CPI(M), VCK, DK and or parties affiliated to alliance. signature campaign would go on till February 8.
