Arvind Kejriwal questions benefit of agrarian laws post PM Modi's interaction with farmers

Reacting to PM Modi's interaction with the farmers, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal maintained that the three agrarian laws are not beneficial for the farmers.

Reacting to PM Modi's interaction with farmers on Friday, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal maintained that three agrarian laws are t beneficial for farmers in any way. According to him,  farmers will get only half price for ir produce if it is sold outside Agriculture Produce Marketing Committees. Kejriwal stressed that this refuted BJP's contention that farm laws would t cause any loss to farmers. 

AAP h opposed farm legislation in both Houses of Parliament. Earlier in day, PM Modi released installment of Prhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi worth over Rs.18,000 crore to 9 crore farmer families via video conferencing. Under aegis of PM-KISAN, Rs.6000 is being directly transferred to bank accounts of small and marginal farmer families having combined land ownership of up to two hectares in three installments per year. reafter, PM also held a discussion with farmers from Odisha, Arunachal Presh, Haryana,  Maharashtra, Tamil Nu, Uttar Presh and Mhya Presh who shared ir experiences about initiatives taken by Centre.

On this occasion, PM Modi lashed out at Mamata Banerjee-led government for n-implementation of PM-KISAN scheme in West Bengal. He accused state government of harming interest of farmers in process of settling political scores with Centre. During dress, PM Modi explained significance of new farm laws.

Reiterating that Minimum Support Price and APMC system will continue, he lashed out at opposition for spreing misconceptions among farmers. Citing that APMCs don't exist in Kerala, he also slammed Left Front government for opposing agrarian laws. Extending an olive branch to protesting farmers, PM asserted that Centre was rey to talk as long as discussion is based on facts.
