After JD(U) distanced itself from the meeting of West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and political strategist Prashant Kishor, the Trinamool Chief herself has declined to comment on the issue on Friday saying it is an internal issue, while addressing a press conference.
Earlier on Thursday, in a major political twist in the state of West Bengal amidst the post-poll violence and Jai Shri Ram controversy, election strategist Prashant Kishor had met West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. As per sources, he will be working with the Mamata-led Trinamool for the state's assembly election against the BJP.

Responding to Republic TV on the recent development of him meeting West Bengal CM, Kishor said, "Ask Mamata, don't ask me. Ask her why I met her."
In West Bengal, the Mamata Banerjee led Trinamool faced a fierce fight from the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections 2019. The BJP party won 18 seats while the ruling Trinamool won 22 seats in the states.

Reacting to the above development JD(U)'s spokesperson Dr. Ajay Alok tweeted that the party did not have any information about the contents and reason of the meeting adding that only Kishor could shed light on the issue. Incidentally, Prashant Kishor was appointed as vice president of JD(U).
(What was the meeting between Prashant Kishore Ji and Mamataji about? Why did it happen? What happened in it? I don't know about it and neither does the party know anything about it. In this case, only Prashant Kishor can shed light on it. The party has nothing to do with it.)

Kishor whose team was an election strategist for YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh for the elections 2019, is known for his impressive strategy that leads parties to massive victories. In Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy's YSRCP won 151 seats in the state's 175 seats. In the past, Kishor was the chief strategist for Prime Minister Modi's election campaign in 2014, after which he started his own company called IPAC that engineered the poll campaign in Punjab for Captain Amarinder Singh.
In 2015, Kishor worked for the JD(U) when the party was a part of Mahagathbandhan in Bihar and led the grand alliance to their landslide victory in the assembly elections in Bihar. He has also worked for the Congress party in the assembly polls of Uttar Pradesh, however, BJP won the election. Prashant Kishor first hit headlines after helping PM Modi win 2012 Gujarat assembly election and become chief minister for the third time beating anti-incumbency.
