BIG: "It is an internal matter," says Trinamool Chief Mamata Banerjee on her meeting with political strategist Prashant Kishor
After JD(U) distanced itself from the meeting of West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and political strategist Prashant Kishor, the Trinamool Chief herself has declined to comment on the issue on Friday saying it is an internal issue, while addressing a press conference.

Earlier on Thursday, in a major political twist in state of West Bengal amidst post-poll violence and Jai Shri Ram controversy, election strategist Prashant Kishor had met West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. As per sources, he will be working with Mamata-led Trinamool for state's assembly election against BJP.

Responding to Republic TV on recent development of him meeting West Bengal CM, Kishor said, "Ask Mamata, don't ask me. Ask her why I met her."
In West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee led Trinamool faced a fierce fight from BJP in Lok Sabha elections 2019. BJP party won 18 seats while ruling Trinamool won 22 seats in states.
Reacting to above development JD(U)'s spokesperson Dr. Ajay Alok tweeted that party did t have any information about contents and reason of meeting adding that only Kishor could shed light on issue. Incidentally, Prashant Kishor was appointed as vice president of JD(U).

Kishor whose team was an election strategist for YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh for elections 2019, is kwn for his impressive strategy that leads parties to massive victories. In Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy's YSRCP won 151 seats in state's 175 seats. In past, Kishor was chief strategist for Prime Minister Modi's election campaign in 2014, after which he started his own company called IPAC that engineered poll campaign in Punjab for Captain Amarinder Singh.

In 2015, Kishor worked for JD(U) when party was a part of Mahagathbandhan in Bihar and led grand alliance to ir landslide victory in assembly elections in Bihar. He has also worked for Congress party in assembly polls of Uttar Pradesh, however, BJP won election. Prashant Kishor first hit headlines after helping PM Modi win 2012 Gujarat assembly election and become chief minister for third time beating anti-incumbency.
