Stoking a controversy over ongoing farmers' protest, Bihar Agriculture Minister Amrendra Pratap Singh said that  protests are t being carried out by farmers but by "dalals" (brokers). As per local media reports, Amrendra Pratap Singh me comments while interacting to reporters in Vaishali. He said that re are 5.5 lakh vills in country but agitation is taking place re.

"Are re farmers only at borders of Delhi and Haryana? re are more than 5 lakh vills in country. Is any protest taking place in any vill? Are farmers in Bihar protesting? Farmers living in 5.5 lakh vills are t bored as y are aware that new farm laws are beneficial for m. You are taking tice of a handful of "dalals" who are agitating claiming to be farmers. country would have been burning until w h re been a farmers' agitation indeed," said Amrendra Pratap Singh of BJP.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday paid an unscheduled visit to Gurudwara Rakab Ganj Sahib in Delhi, amid ongoing farmers' protest at Delhi's border. Earlier on Saturday, PM Modi shared Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar's 8-p letter to farmers in nine different langus. PM Modi shared letter in  Kanna, Odiya, Telugu, Tamil, Punjabi, Malayalam, Gujarati, Marathi and Bengali - to connect with most n-BJP states, miffed with Centre's Farm Laws. In a bid to reach out to farmers across nation on three Farm laws, BJP leers are highlighting benefits of farm laws. PM Modi h also anunced that he would dress farmers again on December 25 - birth anniversary of late PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee - on 3 Farm laws and initiate ar instalment of direct benefit transfer (DBT) to farmer accounts.

While Centre has been in talks with several or farm unions supporting Laws, protesting unions have retaliated by approaching Supreme Court seeking a total repeal of laws and a nationwide farm waiver.

On or side, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that government is hopeful of resolving farmers' agitation by year-end, as per PTI. Meanwhile, Supreme Court has offered to form a panel to facilitate talks with farms to stop protests and remove blocke to Delhi highways. Punjab is only state which has passed farms negating Centre's laws, while Delhi has passed a resolution against it.
