Bihar: Ban on exit polls from Oct 28 morning to Nov 7 evening
There will be a ban on conducting and telecasting exit polls on the Bihar assembly elections from 7 am on October 28 till 6.30 pm on November 7, the Election Commission said.

According to an October 3 tification of poll panel, "displaying" any election matter, including results of any opinion poll or any or poll survey, in any electronic media would be prohibited "during period of 48 hours ending with hours fixed for conclusion of poll in respective polling areas in each phase" of state assembly polls.

Citing Representation of People Act, EC said " period between 7:00 AM on October 28, 2020 (Wednesday) and 6.30 PM on vember 7, 2020 (Saturday) is period during which conducting any exit poll and publishing or publicising by means of print or electronic media or dissemination in any or manner whatsoever, result of any exit poll in connection with above mentioned General Election to State Legislative Assembly of Bihar, shall be prohibited."
Bihar goes to assembly polls in three phases on October 28, vember 3 and vember 7. results will be anunced on vember 10.
