BJP condemns Anantnag attack: 'Terrorists' last breath in Kashmir'
BJP National spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain, on Saturday, has said the Anantnag grenade attack was a desperate attempt by terrorists in the Valley.

Reacting on the terror attack in Anantnag, BJP National spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain, on Saturday, has said that the attack was a desperate attempt by terrorists in the Valley. He reaffirmed that terror in the Valley was reducing. Talking about Article 370, he said 97% of Kashmiris were rejoicing while only 3% were having an issue. He added that Kashmiris have understood that Article 370 was no good.

"Terrorists are taking their last breath in the valley. They run after throwing bomb, they will not be spared. They will be erased. 97% of Kashmiris are rejoicing only 3% have problems. Kashmiris have understood 370 was no good," he said talking to reporters.

Terrorists lob grenade in Anantnag, 10 injured
Earlier in the day, in another terrorist attack on the civilians of Kashmir, a hand grenade was lobbed near the Deputy Commissioner's office in Anantnag district. Sources report that ten people have been injured in the attack. The injured victims have been transferred to the local hospital in Anantnag and their condition is reported to be stable. A traffic police officer is also reportedly among those injured. This is reportedly the first grenade attack in the Valley since the Centre revoked Article 370 on August 5.

Sources further report that the Army has launched cordon and search operations in the area. The manhunt is reportedly on to catch the culprit by the Forces. The Jammu-Kashmir Police have registered an FIR and have launched an investigation into the attack, as per sources. This attack was reportedly aimed at spreading fear among the locals by terror outfits. Sources report that the attack also aimed at stopping people from venturing out of their homes.

Current situation of Kashmir
Meanwhile, the Centre has stated that the situation in Kashmir is slowly being restored back to normalcy. Sources report that in Anantnag there has been almost 50% vehicular movement as per usual. Sources also report that 10-20% of the shops in the district have been opened. While traffic has been seen increasing in the Valley, public transport is still not functional, as informed by authorities. While landline connections have been restored completely, internet and cell connections too have been restored to most parts of the Valley, according to Kashmir administration, while economic activity too has picked up, as stated by authorities. Schools have also opened in the Valley and attendance has been gradually rising. The state administration has been giving regular reports about medical facilities functional in the Valley.
