BJP MLA Surendra Singh Jeena dies due to COVID-19

 BJP MLA from Salt in Almora district, Surendra Singh Jeena, who was undergoing treatment for COVID-19 at a hospital in New Delhi, died early Thursday.

50-year-old Jeena was mitted to Sir Gangaram Hospital nearly a week ago. He bread his last at around 4 am, Presh BJP vice president Devendra Bhasin said.

Condoling Jeena's death, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said state has lost an energetic and farsighted leer.

        "He was reckoned among most active MLAs who took keen interest in development of his constituency. He was voice of deprived sections of society.In his death state has lost an energetic and farsighted leer," Rawat said and prayed for strength to his family to bear loss,"said Rawat. 

chief minister recalled that he h met Jeena recently at his residence in Delhi after his wife's death.

        Presh BJP President Bansidhar Bhagat also expressed deep grief at legislator's untimely demise describing it as an irreparable loss not just for party but entire society.

"He was a young and energetic leer always active in public interest and organisational affairs. His death is an irreparable loss for party and society," Bhagat said.

       Praying for strength to bereaved family to bear loss, BJP leer said he and his party stand with m in this hour of grief.
