Slamming the Congress party for its divided views on the abrogation of Article 370, BJP leader Amit Malviya on Friday put out a video, in which Congress leaders were seen giving contrasting views on the abrogation. The video featured Congress leader and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Manish Tewari.

PM Modi targets Congress
Prime Minister Narendra Modi continued his attack on the Congress party for criticising his government's move to abrogate Article 370. At an election rally in Maharashtra's Parli in Beed district, PM Modi lashed out at Congress leaders for demeaning and undermining the Centre's effort to fully integrate Jammu and Kashmir into the mainstream. “Do you remember the comments made after Article 370 was abrogated? Whenever there will be discussions on Article 370, history will remember the people who mocked and criticised the step taken in the interest of the nation,” said PM Modi. He further lashed out at remarks made by senior Congress leaders after the Centre's Article 370 abrogation on August 5.

Jammu and Kashmir situation
With days left for Jammu and Kashmir to be a union territory officially, the Centre has claimed that the situation after the abrogation of Article 370 is slowly restoring to normal. It has said that people of Kashmir have accepted the decision. While there has been an increase in the vehicular traffic on the road, public transport is still not functional. The communication blockade still prevails in the valley, while landline connections have been restored in some parts of Kashmir. Schools and universities have reopened, however, there is a lack of attendance, as per reports. Centre has also restored postpaid mobile services in the valley.
