J&K: Mehbooba Mufti Dissolves Full Structure of PDP

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir People's Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti dissolved party's full structure on Saturday with immediate effect, party said in a statement.

Following Union Territory's assembly elections on October 8, former Chief Minister congratulated National Conference- Congress alliance for receiving "people's mandate."

She stated that since people h given a clear mandate, re would be no opportunity for parties to "mess around," ding that if election h resulted in a hung assembly, certain "tricks" might have been used to "defeat mandate of people."
"I am happy with way people have voted. 'Gb karna ka koi chance nahi hai ab' (re is no chance to mess around now). It seemed like if mandate wasn't clear, dirty tricks could have been used to defeat people's will," she said.

In Jammu and Kashmir Assembly election National Conference won 42 seats, Bharatiya Janata Party winning 29, Congress securing 6 seats, and PDP winning 3.
"I congratulate National Conference-Congress leership; y have won spectacularly. I also want to congratulate people of Jammu and Kashmir for voting for a stable government. situation in Jammu and Kashmir h been dire since August 5, 2019, and people faced numerous problems. Forming a stable government was essential," she said during a press conference.

Mufti also thanked PDP leers and workers for ir tireless efforts during campaign. "I would like to thank PDP workers and leers for voting despite all challenges. I appeal to m not to give up," she said.
