Chandrababu Naidu alleges 'Human Rights Violation' in YSRCP's AP rule

Chandrababu Naidu opined that YSRCP was violating human rights of SCs, STs/OBCs, minorities, and women. He pledged to continue the 'Chalo Atmakur' protest rally

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu commented on Wednesday that organizing ‘Chalo Atmakur’ protest rally was his fundamental right. He furr added that it was Andhra Pradesh (AP) government’s responsibility to prevent protest. According to him, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy led Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) regime was violating human rights. Naidu observed that re was a violation against SCs, STs/OBCs, mirities and women rights. TDP chief alleged that state government had arrested his party’s cadre and put m in prison, because of fear of ‘Chalo Atamakur’ protest.

‘Chalo Atmakur’ protest rally 

TDP supremo had anunced ‘Chalo Atmakur’ rally against YSRCP regime in AP on September 11. objective of rally is to save democracy and safeguard human rights in region. YSRCP has been accused of indulging in political violence and allegedly killing as many as eight TDP party workers and attacking many more. TDP believes that attacks have particularly increased in  Palnadu region of state. As part of protest, Naidu has asked his party cadres to march from party's headquarters in Guntur to Atmakur vill in  Palnadu region. purpose is to show solidarity with party workers who have been oppressed by current regime in AP.

Counter-protest from YSRCP 

AP government responded by putting Naidu in house arrest and his son Nara Lokesh under preventive detention. To protest against this, Naidu decided to sit on a fast from 8 am, which would continue till 8 pm. far-son duo's attempts to proceed for protests proved to be futile as police locked main gate of his residence. Naidu pledged to commence protests as soon as authorities allowed him to do so.

On its part, YSRCP decided to organize its own version of ‘Chalo Atmakur’ protest where victims of previous TDP regime would narrate ir horrific stories about misdeeds of n Chandrababu Naidu-led government.
