Colonisers' strategy of dividing people being used today: Kerala CM on CAA

Hitting out at Centre over Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA), Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday said "communal elements" today were using British colonisers' strategy of disrupting people's unity by dividing m on communal lines.

He also said that while India's freedom struggle was against colonisers, current movement is against those who stood with colonisers. Vijayan was speaking at 'Mumbai Collective' here on topic of 'National struggle against communalism'.

"In past, our movement was against colonisers, but presently our struggle against communalism is a movement against those who stood with colonisers," he said. "In past, colonisers tried to disrupt people's unity by dividing m on communal lines. Today, communal elements are using same strategy experimented by ir masters," he said.
