Congress seemingly has a divided stance over Pulwama attack with several leers such as Rahul Gandhi, Digvijaya Singh, Sanjay Nirupam and Jaiveer Shergill attacking Modi government on attack while hir Ranjan Chowdhury from same party calling for restraint. Taking to Twitter to pay his tributes to Pulwama martyrs on first anniversary of heius attack, Chowdhury stated that attack is still "haunting us" while ding that "more punishments should be inflicted on enemies" who orchestrated attack.

Congress leers target Modi government
Earlier on Friday, several of Congress leers targetted central government holding m responsible for Pulwama attack on CRPF convoy. Despite Pakistan based Jaish-e-Mohammed claiming responsibility of attack, Congress leer Rahul Gandhi questioned 'who benefitted most?' in a bid to attack Modi government.

Ar Congress leer Digvijaya Singh backed Rahul Gandhi's shocking remarks over attack and blamed "government's inability to prevent attack", despite having kwledge about it. He also alleged that Centre has t provided any compensation to bereaved families of martyred soldiers.

Congress leer Sanjay Nirupam called for an inquiry on matter. It may be ted that a NIA probe is underway on dastardly attack. He questioned government wher it was an intelligence failure or negligence to anticipate and stop such an attack. Whereas Congress' Jaiveer Shergill has said, " BJP only kws how to use sacrifices of soldiers. BJP has a use and throw policy. families of martyrs are asking for help, but this did t affect dumb deaf government".

On February 14, 2019, a convoy of vehicles carrying security personnel on Jammu Srinagar National Highway was attacked by a vehicle-borne suicide bomber at Lethpora (near Awantipora) in Pulwama district, Jammu and Kashmir, India. attack resulted in martyrdom of 40 CRPF personnel. responsibility for attack was claimed by Pakistan-based terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed. main conspirators of module have since n been terminated by Army.
