On Thursday, Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala slammed BJP for its alleged hypocritical approach pertaining to protests by farmers in national capital. To buttress his point, he shared an old video of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh who visited a farmers' stir near Parliament during UPA regime. In video, n BJP president is heard saying, "We didn't kw that a dharna is going on. If we knew this before, I would have come here on first day of dharna itself to give my support. Wherever a farmer is sitting on a protest, we must t see which party or organisation he belongs to".

Taking on n PM Manmohan Singh, BJP leer also reportedly said, "For sure, PM must have got information through intelligence ncies. But he did t find it necessary to send a team to find out what problem is and what demands are. PM, you should understand this - force in world can affect morale of country's farmers when y come toger on streets". Slamming certain sections of ruling party who have cast aspersions on farmers for protesting against three agrarian laws, Surjewala contended that BJP's priorities h changed after forming government at Centre. Moreover, he questioned lack of any initiative by Rajnath Singh to resolve present crisis.
