'Kerala govt busy in PR exercise': Cong accuses govt of inaction on migrant workers plight

Congress has alleged that the Pinarayi Vijayan govt in Kerala is engaged in only PR exercise and is least bothered about bringing back people who are stranded

Congress has alleged that Pinarayi Vijayan government in Kerala is engd in only PR exercise and is least bored about bringing back people of state who are stranded in various parts of country. This comes as over two lakh Keralites strandedin different parts of country registered on rka-Roots web portal, seeking entry passes.

Speaking to media on Monday, Leer of Opposition Ramesh Chennithala said it has w surfaced that Indian Railways has run more than 366 trains from various locations in country. He ded that it is really unfortunate that t a single train came to Kerala when thousands of students, women and ors have been stranded since lockdown began in various states in country.

Furrmore, he said that lack of arrangement shows callousnes of  Vijayan ministration. He went on to say that only thing that is happening today is a very high profile PR exercise by US-based PR and Marketing firm Sprinklr which is focussed on upcoming elections.

Seven New Cases In Kerala, Total Cases Touch 20

Seven people including three who h arrived from Abu Dhabi on May 7 in repatriation flight from gulf sector, tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday, taking total number of people under treatment for virus in Kerala to 20.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, h on Saturday said new cases were a "warning to those coming back from abro and for or states to be on alert." Of seven fresh cases, three are from Wayan, two from Thrissur and one each from Ernakulam and Malappuram, State Health Minister K K Shailaja said.
