Congress leader Milind Deora on Wednesday mocked the Bharatiya Janata Party and Shiv Sena alliance and their 50:50 formula for forming the government in Maharashtra. Taking to the microblogging site, Deora tweeted the lyrics of the song '50/50' by an American comedy folk duo– Garfunkel and Oates. Deora's statement comes amid the ongoing tussle between BJP and their ally Sena over power-sharing in the state.
In his tweet, Deora said, “I’ll always be here for you, For methodically allotted amounts of time, I’ll be there to hold your hand, If I happen to be in town And any time you need me. There’s a 50/50 chance I’ll be around.”

BJP-Shiv Sena tussle
Earlier on Tuesday, CM Devendra Fadnavis asserted that he would continue to hold the chief minister's chair, dismissing the 50:50 formula talks between the two parties. Fadnavis on Tuesday reportedly stated that the BJP does not give importance to what Raut had said, who has been consistently attacking its ally BJP. On Tuesday, Raut when questioned over the delay in government formation despite a pre-poll alliance, responded saying "There is no Dushyant (Chautala) here whose father is in jail. Here it's us who do politics of 'dharma and satya' (ethics and truth). Sharad (Pawar) who created an environment against BJP and the Congress who will never go with BJP." Shortly after the public spat, Shiv Sena cancelled a scheduled meeting with BJP on Tuesday.

Sena issues an ultimatum: 'No govt till 50:50 formula for CM post'
Earlier on Saturday, Shiv Sena issued an ultimatum to BJP stating that party chief Amit Shah and CM Devendra Fadnavis should issue a written statement assuring that the CM post will be shared equally for 2.5 years each. Speaking to reporters outside Matoshree, Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik has said that Uddhav Thackeray is of the opinion that the 50:50 formula promised by BJP prior to the polls should be followed. Apart from this, posters were also spotted in Worli on Friday, demanding Yuva Sena chief and newly elected MLA Aaditya Thackeray be made CM; which has been a long-standing Sena demand.
