In a recent development amidst political chaos in Maharashtra, both Congress and NCP leers are expected to hold a meeting at 10 am on Thursday, following which re will be a joint meeting of two parties in afteron, said NCP leer Prithviraj Chavan. In dition to that, Congress-NCP leers are also scheduled to hold meetings with Shiv Sena leership on Friday in Mumbai, after which anuncements related to government formation might be me.

Joint meeting tomorrow

"We have finished our discussions at meeting today. We resolved many issues and Shiv Sena leership was in touch with us through phone. We will continue tomorrow when Congress and NCP will sit separately tomorrow and n will hold a joint meeting in afteron following which we will proceed to Mumbai in evening. Day after tomorrow, Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP will sit toger by end of which re will be anuncement," Chavan told ANI.

Yesterday, Congress leers including Ahmed Patel, Jairam Ramesh, and Mallikarjun Kharge h briefed party interim president Sonia Gandhi about ir meeting with Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Shar Pawar. After briefing, three Congress leers again returned to NCP chief Shar Pawar's residence. ANI sources ded that during course of Wednesday's meeting, Congress and NCP leers also held talks with Shiv Sena leership over phone and got a positive response.

sources also ded that as part of coalition government, a sharing formula of 2.5 years each between Shiv Sena and NCP for Chief Minister seat has been approved while Congress will be given Deputy CM seat. It was also revealed Speaker post is likely to be given to an MLA from eir Shiv Sena or NCP.

Maharashtra came under President's Rule after all parties failed to form a government in State. BJP, which emerged as single largest party, could t stake claim to form a government as its ally Shiv Sena remained firm on rotating Chief Minister's post and equal sharing of Cabinet berths.

Shiv Sena parted its ways with BJP only to explore ways to form a government. It, however, failed to prove support of required number of MLAs in time given by Goverr BS Koshyari. Goverr h n invited NCP, third-largest party, to prove its ability to form government failing which President's Rule was imposed in State.
