Congress to protest against economic slowdown, but in November

Days ahead of poll-result, Congress party on Tuesday announced that it protest against Central govt over economic situation in the country in 1st week of Nov

Days ahe of poll-result of Maharashtra and Haryana elections, Congress party has on Tuesday anunced that it will hold a protest against Central government over ecomic situation in country in first week of vember. Even as Congress claims that ecomy of country is in doldrums, it has scheduled its protest against Centre only in month of vember. However, party has anunced it on October 22 that it will protest against Centre. This move by grand-old-party comes after exit polls of assembly elections of Haryana and Maharashtra predicted ar setback for it.

Congress suffers in Haryana 

Congress party has been facing infighting. Earlier, in a huge setback to Congress party ahe of assembly polls in Haryana, its former state chief Ashok Tanwar resigned. Even as party named him as a star campaigner for upcoming assembly polls, he resigned. His decision came amid reports of tussle in Haryana Congress between Tanwar and Bhupinder Singh Hooda. Days ahe of his move, he was removed from post of Haryana Congress chief, and Kumari Selja was named as party's state president.

Making a scathing attack on party, Tanwar, in his resignation letter titled 'Resignation from party's primary membership, said that Congress party is going through an 'existential crisis'. He ded that it is because of 'internal contrictions' in party. He said that Congress has w become ''anti-sis of democracy and plagued by feudal attitudes." He went on to d that as per his experience in past few years internal democracy in party is 'killed by few lobbies'.

Congress suffers in Maharashtra 

In Maharashtra, a long-drawn tussle has been going on between Nirupam and ar Congress leer Milind Deora. Deora and Nirupam h been in loggerhes after former resigned from Congress' Mumbai chief's position. latter claimed that it was done for personal ambitions. Deora, on or hand, has praised Centre on a lot of issues including Prime Minister's massive Howdy Modi event.
