CPI(M) Gen Secy Sitaram Yechury retorts at PM Modi: 'You take credit & withdraw the laws'

Retaliating to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his dress to Mhya Presh farmers on Friday, Communist Party of India (Marxist) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury stated that prime minister can take credit but withdraw laws.
"If you want to take credit, n take it and withdraw recently enacted farm laws, this is what I want to say to Prime Minister," he said, commenting on PM Modi's speech.

He ded re should be reforms in agricultural sector. "But what kind of reform is it? If it is for farmers, n thousands, who are sitting on protest, do t understand ir well-being."
"Who asked for laws? Reform is sought by all. But if reform means se laws, it is wrong. It is misleing. Agricultural reforms are needed for last 70 years. re is a demand for reforms but in whose interest; that is question? Discussions were t held before passing laws; discussions are still taking place but se laws do t give justice to farmers," Yechury ded.

Earlier in day, prime minister dressed farmers and elaborated on benefits of three agrarian laws. While doing so, he requested opposition with folded hands to keep credit of agriculture laws.
While speaking on misinformation revolving around farm laws, PM Modi said, "y (opposition) are t worried about ir own failure to implement se reforms, y are bored, ‘what reforms we planned, how come Modi accomplished it? Why did Modi do it and why should he take credit for it?' I request with folded hands, you can take credit for it, I don’t want credit, I want ease of living and prosperity for farmers and modernisation in farming."

'Trying to reclaim political land'
"Stop misleing farmers. political parties are laying a trap to reclaim ir lost political ground. y are firing off farmers' shoulders. Our ministers, Agriculture Minister and I myself have asked m what are ir apprehensions or which clause y have an objection to, but y never have an answer," he ded.

"By spreing misinformation that farmers will lose ir land, y are trying to reclaim ir political land. ones who are protesting w, same people when y h an opportunity to be a part of government and do something for farmers, y did t do anything. I want to bring ir reality in front of everyone," PM Modi iterated.
prime minister also gave a point by point clarification on issues pertaining to MSP, APMC and contract farming in order to clear misconception surrounding three laws. He also said that he would dress farmers again on December 25 on occasion of late PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee's birth anniversary, ding that ar installment of direct benefit transfer (DBT) to farmer accounts will be initiated on day.
