D Raja of CPI-M attacks BJP's 'Double Standards' for Article 371 stand

D Raja, leader of Communist Party of India (Marxist), commented on Amit Shah's statement about Article 371 on Monday and said BJP has double standards.

General Secretary of Communist Party of India (Marxist), D Raja on Monday spoke about Union Home Minister, Amit Shah's comments on Article 371. D Raja claimed that statement me by Amit Shah in Assam shows 'double standards' of  BJP party. "It shows double standards of BJP government and it also exposes ir sinister nda. People w kw why y have done it in Jammu and Kashmir and why Shah is defending or temporary and transitory provisions of constitution," CPI(M) leer, D Raja said.

"When it came to Article 370, Amit Shah said that it was a temporary provision and same thing applies to Article 371 as well. re are many states covered by se provisions so why to target Kashmir at this point of time?" D Raja questioned statement me by Shah in Assam on Monday.

Appeasement Due to NRC

leer of CPI(M) also alleged that Home Minister was trying to appease  rth-Eastern States due to  National Register of Citizens (NRC) issue in Assam. "After NRC, whole rast is in turmoil and he (Amit Shah) wants to please m. All this exposes how BJP is trying to push through its sinister design to implement its own nda across country," said D Raja. NRC list was published on August 31 included 3.11 crore people of Assam and excluded 19.06 lakh people. Leer of  Communist Party of India (Marxist) has appealed to Centre to take political parties in confidence over NRC in Assam. He said that government should include political parties in matters of nation and t just for NRC because decisions taken have far-reaching implications.

Will t Tamper with Article 371: Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah dressed people in Assam and talked about Article 371 that gives special provisions to rth East. Shah said that Article 371 is t a temporary provision but is a special provision. re is a vast difference between Article 370 and 371. Modi government respects this provision and will t be tampering with Article 371 and Article 371 A to J. Home Minister is on a two-day visit to Assam since NRC list came out and this is his first trip to State after winning elections.
