Delhi Budget approved by MHA, say LG Saxena office sources

The Delhi government's Budget was approved by the MHA and it has been conveyed to the AAP dispensation, sources in the lieutenant governor's office.

Delhi government's Budget was approved by Ministry of Home Affairs and it has been conveyed to AAP dispensation, sources in lieutenant Goverr's office said on Tuesday, amid a row over issue between Centre and city government.

Earlier in day, Delhi Finance Minister Kailash Gahlot said that budget file has been resent to Union home ministry for approval.

" MHA has approved Budget and conveyed it to Delhi government," a source said.

Gahlot had said that file had been sent to Ministry of Home Affairs physically and through email for approval.

presentation of Delhi government's Budget for 2023-24, scheduled for Tuesday, has been put on hold with Arvind Kejriwal-led dispensation and central government trading charges over allocations under various heads.

As chief minister lashed out at Centre, sources in MHA said ministry has sought a clarification from AAP government as its budget proposal had high allocations for advertisement and relatively low funding for infrastructure and or development initiatives.
