Slamming Gujarat government for shocking question on Gandhiji's demise, Congress Rajya Sabha MP Digvijaya Singh, on Monday, stated that institution alleging Mahatma's suicide was funded by state government. Earlier in day, it was revealed that a question h been posed in a school exam on how Mahatma Gandhi committed suicide, shocking Gujarat education authorities, according to PTI. An inquiry has been initiated into case. Ar question about bootlegging in dry Gujarat has also irked education officials. This development comes barely days after world celebrated Gandhiji's 150th anniversary.

"Gandhijiye aapghaat karwa maate shu karyu?" (How did Gandhiji commit suicide?) — was question asked in Gujarati to Class 9 students during an internal assessment examination of schools run under banner of 'Sufalam Shala Vikas Sankul', an official said. Ar question in an exam paper of Class 12 students was about "Writing a letter to district police chief complaining about rise in sale of liquor in your area and nuisance created by bootleggers".

questions were set by Sufalam Shala Vikas Sankul which is a collection of some self-financed schools and educational institutions getting government grants in Gandhinagar.

"A cluster of self-financed schools and those getting grants included se two questions for internal assessment exams held on Saturday. se questions are highly objectionable, and we have initiated an inquiry. Action will be taken after report comes in," Gandhinagar's district education officer Bharat Vher said. question papers were set by manment of se schools, run under banner of Sufalam Shala Vikas Sankul, and State education department h thing to do with it, he ded.
